Friends are not…
Its important to be at an all time low to appreciate the all time high.
And not just appreciation.
After all, you can know who your ‘real’ friends are.
Not the ones to lecture you, when you need to talk, but the ones who can actually listen.
Not the ones who gossip about every other ‘friend’ they have, come on, you know they will talk about YOU someday, don’t you?
Not the ones who laugh at you, when you are not being funny.
Not the ones who tell others things about you, when you trusted them the most.
Not the ones who tell you to give up, when you are trying your best, not to.
Not the ones who speak sweetly, but the ones who actually help you (when they are in a position to).
Not the ones who tell you what’s good for you, when you have your own instincts and dreams to know better (it’s my life!).
Not the ones who think they can control others, when have no right over anyone’s life but their own.
Not the ones who say they are reliable, and conveniently forget you, for someone who has more than you do (you have nothing to give them, they want nothing to do with you).
Not the ones who mock you, when that’s the last thing you need.
Not the ones who makes judgments about you, when you both know what the truth is.
Not the ones who are loud-mouthed, just because you are silent and alone.
Not the ones who show you their status, when you realize what their status actually is.
Not the ones who waste their time bragging about themselves, or cribbing about you, when time is the only thing you’ve got.
P.S I do have true friends, and I will cherish them for a lifetime. This blog is not for those friends, its for the other set of fair-weather friends.. Well, as the post suggests, they are NOT friends
